TBD is a manifestation of the framework explained in the Amazon bestseller 'Disruptive Technologies' (written by HERE/ FORTH CEO, Paul Armstrong) which top execs use to make better decisions and determine levels of investment in different areas of the business.
The TBD stage is the focus of the day, it’s simple style and low-level means everyone is focused. There are four styles of talks; ‘Solo’ (one individual, 10-15 minutes), ‘Fireside’ (one journalist grills an executive, 15-20 minutes), ‘Trio’ (one person interviews two people from two opposite viewpoints, 20-30 minutes) and ‘Squad’ (four participants answer a question, 30-40 minutes). The short time periods means information is focused and the pace keeps people attentive. Social media is actively discouraged when in the round.

Paul Armstrong is the Founder of HERE/FORTH, the emerging technology advisory that helps a diverse set of clients (PwC, Coca-Cola, Coutts, O2, P&G, Omnicom Group) navigate new technologies strategically.
